A service center is any organizational unit, or activities within units, that charge for goods or services provided to UNL's internal and external customers. Service centers are set up to ensure proper billing for goods and services and can be set up for anything from a one-time event to a major, on-going operation.
When setting up a Service Center, it is important to identify which type of cost center you need based on funding and purpose of your service center operation. The information below will assist you in determining what type of service center is most appropriate for you and how to set it up.
